ABOUT EXAM

KERALA ENGINEERING ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (KEAM) is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala. The ranking of engineering examination is prepared by providing equal weightage of 50: 50 to the score obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by CEE, and the mars obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination (10+2) for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (PCM).

IMPORTANT DATES:-

FOR PHARMACY COURSES: -

The B.Pharm ranking list will be obtained on the basis of Index mark calculated from the score in Paper-1 (Physics & Chemistry) if the Engineering Entrance Examination.

KEAM 2023 Exam: The test is scheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2023

KEAM 2023 Online Application: The application will be inviting students for the admission in Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Medical, and Allied Courses in Kerala. Detailed Notification will be issued later by the official website.

#NOTE: THE CEE tests will be held on for admission to Engineering courses only.

• Candidates seeking admission to any of the Medical & Allied courses should appear and qualify the NEET- UG 2023, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
• Admission for the B.Pharm courses is regulated on the basis of marks obtained in the PAPER-1 (Physics & Chemistry) section of the KEAM Exam.

KEAM ELIGIBILITY

Nationality or Nativity:-

• The applicant should be an Indian citizen. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card holders will be treated on par with the Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission.
  
  Both Keralites & Non-Keralites are eligible to participate in KEAM Entrance Examination. Applicants of Kerala origin will be categorized as ‘Keralites’ while others will be categorized as ‘Non-Keralites’.
• Participants who are children of ALL India Service (AIS) officers allotted to Kerala cadre, claiming Keralite Status, should implement a certificate from the competent authority showing that the parent of the candidate is an AIS officer allotted to Kerala cadre.
• NON-KERALITES are classified as : ‘Non-Keralite Category-1’ and ‘Non-Keralite Category-2’
  
  Non-Keralite Category 1 : candidates who are the sons/daughters of Employees of the Government of India, or employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that the type of employees mention above should have served in Kerala for a minimum period of 2years, or, have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of 2years.
  
  Participants who do not belong to the ‘Keralite’ or ‘Non-Keralite Category 1’ will be treated as ‘Non-Keralite Category-2’. These participants will be eligible for admission ONLY to the ‘State Merit’ seats in the Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the State and in the Management Quota seats in Self-Financing institutes.

KEAM Academic Qualification:-

For Engineering Courses:

Participants who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examination recognized as equivalent with Physics, and Mathematics as Compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subject with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission.
In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science or Bio-Technology will be considered.

KEAM Engineering Courses: [Including B.Tech (Agri. Engg.) and B.Tech  (Food Technology) courses under the Kerala Agricultural University, B.Tech (Dairy Technology) and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University and B.Tech (Food Technology) course under Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies]

For KEAM Architecture Courses : Participants who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or Examination equivalent with it including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects or passed 10+3 Diploma examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject are eligible for Architecture course.

KEAM AGE Eligibility:-

The candidate should complete 17 years of age as on 31^st December, 2023.

• Online Form Submission is required to apply for the KEAM Entrance Exam for admission to all courses mentioned above. If a candidate submits more than one application, then the candidature is liable to be cancelled.

KEAM Online Payment: The fee may be paid by credit card/ debit card/ Internet Banking

KEAM ADMIT CARD:-

 The admit cards for the Engineering Entrance Examination can be download from the website www.cee-kerala.org/ from 1^st week of May 2023. The printout of the admit card will be required to attend the examination.

• The KEAM 2023 admit card will be available on the official website of CEE.
• The candidate will need to enter their login credentials (application number and date of birth) to download the admit card.
• Keep a printed copy of the admit card as you'll have to carry the printed copy to the examination centre.
